In accordance with Board Policy 7100, Admission to Mott Community College is open to:

  • All high school graduates and those with a GED
  • Non-high school graduates 18 years of age or older
  • Applicants under 18 who are not high school graduates or students but have satisfactorily completed the General Educational Development Test (GED)
  • Students still in high school may attend with permission from their high school and parents. Please refer to the MCC dual/early admit policy.

Admission to the College does not guarantee automatic placement in college-level courses. High school diplomas, transcripts, and GED certifications submitted to Mott Community College (MCC) are subject to validation. If any submitted document's authenticity is in question, it will be verified through the state's Department of Education from where the credential was earned. Further, any programs leading to certification or licensure may require high school graduation or successful completion of the GED examination. Students should check with their MCC advisor or counselor for occupational requirements.

You may print or complete an online application or obtain an application from the Office of Admissions, Counseling and Student Development Office, Southern Lakes Branch Center - Fenton, Lapeer Extension Center, Northern Tier Center - Clio, or from any high school in Genesee County.
