The mission of the Office of Institutional Advancement is to build, maintain, and strengthen student and other stakeholder support for Mott Community College through effective marketing & communications and pro-active resource development, acquisition, and stewardship.
The Office houses four important areas of the College: Marketing & Communications; The Information Center, The Foundation for Mott Community College (which includes the MCC Alumni Association); and Grant Development.
The Foundation for Mott Community College is the fundraising operation that promotes higher education at MCC. The Foundation's purpose is to assist students with scholarships, promote special projects at the college and enhance the quality of education and opportunity in this community.
The Marketing and Communications Department is the voice of Mott Community College — expressing and shaping the College brand and helping to further the mission.
The Grant Development Department is responsible for researching, applying for, and securing grant funds from external sources including corporations and foundations (both local and beyond Genesee County) and for working collaboratively with internal program managers and the College’s financial staff to ensure that appropriate compliance is undertaken and reporting of all grant funds occurs consistent with the College’s commitments to its funders.
