On November 25, 2013, The Ballenger Lecture Series presented "Financing Your Business" Featuring a panel discussion and break-out sessions with an eye toward steering the entrepreneur to help to finance their business plans.
On December 13, 2013, The Foundation for Mott Community College and the Alumni Association hosted a fundraiser event at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The event was held at the exclusive suite Club 300 during the Friday, December 13, 2013 Piston's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Proceeds went to the MCC Alumni Association. The evening included Closed Circuit TV; Strolling Food stations; beverages; post-game free throw shots for Club 300 guests; special appearance of Piston Entertainment Crew to the Club 300 Suite. MCC Cheerleaders performed a routine during the pre-game show.

The Foundation for MCC held three Donor/Student Scholarship Recipient events to thank our donors who provide much needed dollars for scholarships and financial assistance, and to provide the opportunity for donors and the students they help to meet. Three events were held: April 2 and 7th and May 27. p
On April 24, 2014, The Foundation for MCC honored four alumni who received the prestigious
Distinguished Alumni Award and one Outstanding Retiree.

The 2nd Annual Friends of MCC Update Breakfast on May 15th was well attended and raised over unrestricted $8,000.
The Foundation for MCC held its 8th Annual Mott, Motown & More Lip Sync Performance on May 15 and 16, which was a huge success. A many thanks to all our local celebrities and community members who made this a hit!
The annual Women In Education Fellowship Reflection Luncheon was held on June 5, 2014, and honored the WIE Fellows who graduated this year. Fellows provided picture boards of their goals and aspirations.
Tea with Sally was held on June 20, 2014, and honored MCC's First Lady Sally Shaink as the college bid her a fond farewell upon the retirement of her husband, President Dr. Dick Shaink.
The Foundation for MCC held a farewell soirée for President Dr. Dick Shaink on June 20, 2014. Community leaders, past MCC presidents, state, federal and local politicals, and MCC's family turned out to wish Dr. Shaink well in his retirement.
