Federal Work-Study Program - How to Apply

Students must complete the following steps to qualify for work study:

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Mott’s school code is 002261.
  2. Review the Student Aid Report (SAR) that is sent to your email address and make any necessary changes.
  3. Submit any additional documents requested by the Financial Aid Office.
  4. View your Financial Aid package on MyBackpack. If it includes Federal Work-Study, visit the Student Employment Center, located in the lower level of the Prahl College Center, room B210A, for information on how to utilize your Federal Work-Study award.

NOTE: The Federal Work-Study program is a financial aid entitlement. Students may file the Student Aid Report at any time; however, campus-based aid is limited and is only available until the funds are exhausted. Early applicants will receive priority. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid qualifies students for all Title IV financial aid programs.
