The Mott Community College Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success is constantly striving to serve our community and college. We enable our members to become the kind of leader they want to be, we form long-lasting friendships, do service projects, fundraise, and have fun!
We believe:
Learning is a life-long journey, everyone has leadership potential, and we achieve more together than we do alone.
Past members have gone on to attend film school in NYC, intern in political offices, receive their masters degrees at MSU, intern for minor league baseball, and more. We have facilitated educational sessions for a high school leadership day, hosted a Gift of Life event, and attended leadership summits at GVSU, Baker College, Wake Tech Community College and NSLS National Summit in New Jersey.
Our members are earning experience and helping their communities every day. We have had members who earned the Paul Karr Award (best citizen of the graduating class) and spoke at commencement, created large community service projects, created an Inclusion Panel Discussion with Jeffrey Marsh as special speaker, hosted card signings for deployed military, raised funds for animal rescues, had their short films produced and so much more. Our Advisors are equally engaged - they have served on the NSLS Scholarship Committee, National Advisory Board, Leadership Guild, hosted webinars for other Advisors, and presented at a conference.
We also have a membership chapter at the Thumb Area Correctional Facility. We started with three members and now have over twenty. We are very proud of these individuals and they change our lives, as much as we change theirs.
