The Music Department at Mott Community College offers a comprehensive two year collegiate music program designed to fulfill the freshman and sophomore requirements needed to transfer to four year colleges and universities.
Offering a broad musical curriculum from classical to jazz and commercial music, the music department serves a wide variety of students that includes high school graduates and retirees. MCC students have gone on to complete their degrees at other institutions throughout the state and beyond, such as Columbia College (Chicago), Berklee College of Music (Boston), Western Michigan University, and Wayne State University.

The Mott Community College Music Department offers a wide array of ensembles that encompass all genres of music. Ensembles are required of all Applied Music students and are open to all MCC students and community members. The groups perform in concerts throughout the community several times a year.
