FLINT, MI. — Mott Community College in Flint is the September recipient of the FOX
66 Green Business Award! The Green Business Award is presented to one local business
each month for taking strides to make their workplace more eco-friendly. Internally,
Mott utilizes recycling, reusing, energy and paper reduction, all in an effort to
keep our planet green. MCC is actively pursuing many green initiatives through careful
evaluation and testing to make sure that these measures result in both cost savings
and a realized environmental benefit. In addition, MCC has established the Green Initiative
Committee (GRIT), which is currently working on expanding their recycling efforts
and educational outreach. Mott Community College will be highlighted for their efforts
tonight during the “Green Report” airing every Thursday during “FOX 66 News at 10”.
