Jennie Welliver retired from Mott Community College in March of 2020 after 30 years of service. Jennie was a full time faculty member in the position of Academic Success Specialist in the Counseling and Student Development division, and also a communications adjunct faculty instructor in the Humanities division.
Ms. Welliver reached out and motivated students in her role as a full time academic advisor. She worked tirelessly with individual students to achieve success at Mott, and prepared many of them to transfer on to university to pursue their personal career goals. She brought a positive attitude to work every day, limitless energy, a passion to learn, and a willingness to engage with colleagues to meet the needs of Mott Community College students.
Jennie has been blessed with a wonderful family and many supportive friends that have always been her inspiration to learn, to care, to explore, to achieve goals and set new ones. She is an avid reader, enjoys her grandchildren and grand dogs, loves to work on personal projects, and travels whenever she can. She loves retirement and the new opportunities for personal growth that have opened up for her.
