Phillip Nulph - Faculty - Psychology

Hello! My name is Phillip Nulph and I am happily employed as an assistant professor of psychology at Mott Community College. I started teaching at Mott in 2014 and I teach/have taught PSYC 281-General Psychology, PSYC 181-Applied Psychology, PSYC 280-General Psychology Lab., PSYC 283-Theories of Personality, and PSYC 290-Psychology of Adolescence. I am co-founder and co-advisor of the Mott Psi Beta Psychology Honor Society.

I am a proud community college alum of Merced College in California. I earned both my bachelor's and master’s degree at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. In addition to academic and practicum training in my clinical health psychology program, I have expertise in brief interventions and communication techniques rooted in humanistic theory (motivational interviewing).

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching and playing sports, and watching movies. Also, my wife and I run an Etsy shop.
