Michael McCollum - Faculty / Coordinator - CADD

Michael McCollum is the Faculty Coordinator of the Computer Aided Drafting and Design program at Mott Community College, with a background knowledge in Architectural drafting as well. Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Technical Education, minor in Mathematics, and Occupational Certificate in CAD Drafting, from Ferris State University.Michael spent 10 years teaching Engineering and Architectural Design at the high school level, and is in his 14th year of teaching overall. Michael is also a graduate of the MCC CADD program.

Michael holds a Post Graduate Masters in The Art of teaching, with a concentration in Effective Teaching in the 21st Century, from Marygrove College. Michael consistently continues his education by taking graduate courses and attending professional conferences.

His areas of expertise are 2D drawing and detailing, as well as 3D parametric modeling.

Michael resides in Davison, MI, with his wife, and three children. In his free time, he enjoys coaching high school softball, hunting, fishing, hiking, and being a dad.
