Gina Palombo - Faculty - Nursing

Currently a nursing professor here at Mott Community College. I have been a lifelong learner, and first completed an Associate Degree of Nursing, thereafter, pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing with education concentration, Master Degree Certificate of Advanced Nursing Practice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for adult care, and completed my educational endeavor with a Doctor of Philosophy in Education terminal degree.

I have been a registered nurse for the past 29 years and a health sciences educator for 17 years, my skills have collectively expanded from the years of experience. The courses I have taught during the past 17 years as a health science an nursing educator in community colleges and university include; Pathophysiology, Medical Terminology, Mathematics for Medications, Legal and Ethical Issues in Nursing, Fundamental of Nursing, Nursing Advanced Adult Care I and Advanced Adult Care II, Medical/Surgical Nursing, Nursing Physical Assessment, Nursing Leadership, Nursing Synthesis, Nursing Capstone, and Nursing Informatics.

As an educator my focus and priority goal are to maximize students’ success in health science careers. As an educator and researcher, I continue to analyze the more comprehensive data sets of students’ obstacles within their lives, community, and educational barriers to the pursuit of their educational success. My expertise is the focus of critical thinking and academic student success.

My future professional goal as an educator is to remain committed to creating educational opportunities for all students of all diverse backgrounds to guide and provide all resources for students’ academic success
