Federal
and Michigan Work-Study Awards:
U.S. citizens and permanent residents can apply for financial
aid by completing the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Receiving funds awarded under the Work-Study
Program is not guaranteed. It is dependent on funding, registering
and attending classes, locating a job on-campus and maintaining
employment throughout the academic year. The number of hours you
will be working per week will depend on the department's needs,
the amount of your award, and your schedule. Students that
have maximum eligibility are budgeted for 25 hours per week; no
more than eight hours per day, at $7.40 an hour. A lower
eligibility amount means the student must work less than 25 hours
per week
Acceptance of a Work Study Award may affect other aid sources, including student loans. |
