Elementary Education

Associate in Arts

The Elementary Education pathway at Mott Community College prepares students to transfer to a four year college or university to complete his or her training to be a certified elementary school teacher. Elementary school teachers educate children from Kindergarten through fifth grade in a variety of subjects and may also specialize in fields such as special education, art, or music. The courses in this pathway have been chosen based on often-required courses at the four-year level as well and are also designed to address topics students will encounter on state certification exams.
