Entrepreneurs ideas = Student real-life experience

Working with community partners and entrepreneurs give the students in the FABLAB lifelong learning skills.

While working with customers, students are able to help get the idea out of the customers head, onto paper, into a CAD 3-D model and a final prototype. Students get to work on the entire process from start to finish, while taking what they learned in the classroom and apply in to a real-life application

Students say the benefit of these real projects is that it develops life-skills from writing emails, timely follow-up with the customer, and honing their skills using the equipment in the FABLAB.

Recent projects have included signage for Formar Nature Center and table design for the Flint Farmers Market.
